Controlling the freeze pane location in Reporting Services

So I have a report that has a header, and in the body there is a
table. The table has a heading row. When I export this report to
excel, the freeze pane is put under the header.
Is there a way to specify the location of the freeze pane when the
report is exported to excel? I would like to have the freeze pane
directly below the column header row.
One possible solution I thought of was to put the column header row
into the actual header, but I can't do that as right above the column
header row is a summary of the data in the table. This summary
references fields from my datasets. And anything that references a
field cannot be put in the header row.
Thanks in advance.On Apr 28, 8:41 am, Jesse...@.gmail.com wrote:

As far as I know, there is not really anyway to control this. I'm
actually surprised that you have managed to get the Excel export to
maintain the freeze panes at all, as I have not seen it work
automatically after export. Sorry that I could not be of further
assistance.

Continue table only on next page

Hello!
I have 3 elements in a report, a header, a body containing a table and a
footer. The header and footer does not need to be a "header" or a "footer".
I want the footer to be placed at the bottom of the page below the allocated
space for the body (regardless how many rows there are in the list) and I
want the list to continue on the next page if it exceeds the allocated space
for the body and finally I want the footer only to be on the first page. The
footer cannot be a table footer.
How can this be done?
For the footer I have tried:
1. If I use a footer to the bank giro my only choice is
"printonlastpage=false" but then, if there are 3 or more pages it would be
printed on page 1, page 2 etc but not on the last page.
2. If I use a textbox below the table containing the invoice items I cannot
find a method to only put the textbox only on the first page, it will only
be on the last page, after the invoiceitems table on the last page.
Thanks,
MariusMarius,
I posted a sample RDL for the problem you posted on June 22, 2004 - Making
an invoice. Please let me know if that proposed solution meets your
requirements. If I am not mistaken this new request deals with the same
issue.

Constructing Email message

Hi,

I am constructing a Message (Body) for sending our Emails. It is around
3000 characters long. But for whatever reason, the last line seems to
be broken with a "!" exclamatory mark in it, which results in
displaying the constructed image path as a broken one.

How to resolve this ?. Thanks.

Regards,
KarthickNo idea - what version of SQL Server, how are you building the message
body, which data type are you using for the message body, how are you
going to send the mail, what does "image path" refer to, can you post a
simplified SQL script to show the problem etc.

As a complete guess, you've declared the message body as varchar but
the path has Unicode characters in it, so you need to use nvarchar. But
without more information, that's probably wrong.

Simon|||Simon, thanks for your reply.

I am using SQL Server 2000. The Message body is NTEXT datatype in the
database. And I am constructing the message body like the following:

SELECT @.MessageBody = '<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD
HTML//EN">'
SELECT @.MessageBody = @.MessageBody + '<html><head><meta
http-equiv="Content-Type" '
SELECT @.MessageBody = @.MessageBody + 'content="text/html;charset=' +
@.CharSet + '">'
SELECT @.MessageBody = @.MessageBody + '<title>Title goes here:
Ticket</title>'
SELECT @.MessageBody = @.MessageBody + '<link rel="stylesheet"
type="text/css" '

-- I have 67 lines of the @.MessageBody construction and at the end of
the stored procedure I am doing a EXEC to insert this @.MessageBody onto
another table and our third party vendor picks up the Emails from the
table and send them out. So I don't send out the emails manually, all I
do is insert the email contents onto a table and the rest is taken care
of.

Please help. Thanks.

Karthick|||It's still a little unclear (at least to me) - @.MessageBody can't be
ntext, because you can't declare an ntext variable. And you don't say
where the invalid data appears - if you SELECT @.MessageBody before
INSERTing it, is the data correct? Or is it only wrong after INSERTing?
And what does "doing an EXEC" mean? Are you using dynamic SQL, or a
stored procedure to do the INSERT?

Rather than describing your problem, I suggest that you try to produce
a (simplified) script to illustrate your problem - code is always
clearer than a description, and if other people can quickly copy and
paste into Query Analyzer, you're more likely to get a useful answer.
